Independence Press is proud to say that we have always been an environmentally responsible printer.
We were the first printer of our size in Philadelphia to use vegetable based inks in an alcohol-free pressroom. By actively recycling our materials we further reduce environmental impact. We also provide our customers with high quality recycled paper alternatives that will meet your project goals.

Now, we're taking this commitment a step further. Recently, Independence Press participated in two separate and rigorous certification processes set forth by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI). In becoming certified by both organizations, Independence became one of the few printers in the Delaware Valley dually certified in both sheetfed and web printing. This certification is a continuation of our historic drive to remain an environmentally focused printing company.

FSC is a non-governmental, non-profit organization that promotes the responsible management of the world's forests. Established in 1993 as a response to concerns over global deforestation, FSC is widely regarded as one of the most important initiatives of the last decade to promote responsible forest management worldwide. FSC provides internationally recognized standard setting, trademark assurance and accreditation services for companies, organizations and communities interested in responsible forestry. SFI Inc. is a fully independent, charitable organization dedicated to promoting sustainable forest management.
